If I Had My Own Porn Site…

Firstly, if I started a porn site it would be devoted to everything I like. It’s my site and it’s for me. I would not be trying to create a site that is all things to all people — although I have no doubt that as the site became more popular and I made more money I would broaden it out and include genres that weren’t my particular taste.

My site would have both amateur clips (real amateurs, not pornstars shooting stuff on the cheap at home with a cameraphone) and clips from porn movies. The genres I’d be hosting would be (in no particular order):

  1. Straight heterosexual sex
  2. Female masturbation videos (with or without toys)
  3. Lesbian sex
  4. Group sex (3ways, 4ways, consensual ‘gang bangs’)
  5. Fantasy sex (role play, BDSM*, etc)
  6. Hentai (Japanese animated porn, including Futanari — chicks with dicks)

So far so boring Nero, ALL the pornsites have that stuff already!

Yes, but my site would be different in that we won’t be playing any clips that include that god-awful squealing by actors faking orgasms. I’m not gonna pretend that any/all of the orgasms in porn are real, but ferchrissakes I’m not wasting bandwidth on obvious bullshit. You’ve all seen that crap, where the woman rubs her clit for 30 seconds and then starts screeching loud enough to break glass.

Users of my site will be able to ‘flag’ any content that includes fake fuckery and we’ll let them decide which content is hot and which is bullshit (ie terminated). Once we have a good extensive community of users established we will start expanding genres as per demand — I’m guessing ‘Gay’ will be the first choice for many. I asterisked BDSM* above because that in itself would include at least a half dozen sub genres (rope play, orgasm denial, torture, etc).

Users would also be the judge, jury, and executioner when it comes to tagging clips. We’ve all searched for a specific genre only to be disappointed because some asshole has added two dozen tags to a clip they uploaded in the vain hope they’ll win eyeballs. If there’s no fisting you won’t be allowed to tag #fisting on my site, that’s for sure!

Okay, that’s the fun part concluded, now to the business end:

Pretty much all the porn sites in the world are owned by just a few companies. There’s no money in free porn sites and most people are loathe to pay when there are free alternatives. Do an internet search of ‘who owns all the porn sites?’ and you’ll see that all the sites you possibly use are actually owned by the same global corporation. Those are the ones making money off porn. A lot of sites built up huge followings but used up all their money getting there, only to be bought out by these big guns.

As a sex blogger you know how hard it is to build a following, and most of you are making a pittance (if anything at all) for all the work you do in creating and publishing content.

Most of you also use Social Media to promote your blogs so the announcement by Tumblr that they were going to delete all adult/pornographic content from their platform on December 17, 2018 was quite a blow. Any images stronger that what you might see on Instagram (ie no bare boobs, no butt crack) were deleted by their ever-vigilant bots almost overnight. These bots are trawling constantly and will even flag Tumblr posts that are only queued, not even published yet!

(Tumblr is dead to me now)

Image via an IG account that wishes to remain anonymous lest they be reported. As you can see they regularly cross the line but seem to get away with it. Whether you have 500 or 50,000 followers, when the bots fnd you they will delete your account.
